Up Close and Dangerous-Linda Howard

I picked this up at a bookshop in Bangkok, looking for a good pool-side read. And, as always, Ms Howard did not disappoint. A suspense/romance novel. Someone’s always out to kill the heroine.

massive update... 2 weeks ago

12: “IT” Girl-Gossip Girl spinoff. Quick, fun read.

13: Sex and the Single Witch- Three romance stories revolving around modern witches. The fantasy was pretty cute, but overall these were incredibly silly stories that I read only out of boredom.

14: Redwall by Brian Jacques. Technically, a re-read, but I read this book when I was 13. It was every bit as good now as it was 16 years ago.

15: Watermelon by Marian Keyes. Huge kudos to Mom, who sent this one to me. Fantastic story about a woman who gets left by her husband on the day of her daughter’s birth.

16: Chasing Harry Winston by Lauren Weisberger. I love The Devil Wears Prada, and Everyone Worth Knowing, so I had high hopes for this one. It didn’t disappoint…but it’s a departure from her previous writing style.

17: The Gold Coast by Nelson Demille. “The Godfather meets The Great Gatsby on the Gold Coast [of Long Island]”. Pretty much says it all. Amazing book. Amazing author. Great story.

18: Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. Again, thanks to Mom and her reading recommendations. Still processing it. But liked it a lot.
