How I did it: I'm having some pain issues right now and acupuncture was just something I wanted to try. It's not the only approach I'm taking to the problem and I don't expect it to solve everything, but some of what I have is a fairly straightforward tension issue and I wanted to try something besides massages. (They're nice, but having stuff kneaded hurts sometimes.) I thought maybe I was a little crazy for doing it, so I shopped around until I found… Read how I did it…
I was kind of on the outskirts of the large drum circle at Eeyore’s Birthday Party here in Austin. It was my first time going there and actually the first time I’ve taken my djembe out in public, so I didn’t really think of getting a shoulder strap to get closer to the action. Still, it was great fun and now my shoulders hurt. I’ll do a better job next time and maybe I’ll even dress up.
...Or maybe very rusty. :P I’m not sure how much I remember. I just took a community college course (which actually is a lot better than it sounds because the instructor was pretty awesome) and I never got around to taking the second part, so I guess I’m probably gonna have to start over. I really enjoyed it and wanna start again soon.
