- I’m not as tired.
- I’ve got more energy. I notice it when I walk around campus.
- I don’t have as many aches and pains.
- My GERD has lessened considerably.
- I’m sleeping better (except when my allergies kick in).
- People are complimenting me on my appearance.
- I can wear fitted t-shirts and not wonder if people are saying, behind my back, “He really shouldn’t be wearing a fitted t-shirt.”
This just may be the best thing I’ve done for myself in the past year. Only NaNoWriMo comes close.
Now for my goal for the 2nd half of the year: to lose another 5 lbs, and to keep the weight off!

I made the title of this entry semi-cocky because I’m actually a little hesitant to post at all. It’s true, as of last night (I weigh myself at night, because we’re all lighter when we wake up in the morning), I had lost a total of 21 lbs, which essentially means I’ve reached my goal.
But a few days ago I also broke past my -20 goal, only to climb back up a pound. So there’s a part of me that wants to wait another day or two to mark this item accomplished.
But you know what? No. I’m going to be bold today. I’m not going to eat much, and I’m going to drink my 32 oz of fluids. Tonight I’m going out for sushi with some friends and classmates, but I tend to eat light there, even though I love sushi.
I even bought a stretchy t-shirt at the Gap yesterday to celebrate that my chest area is now larger than my belly area. :)
Dang it, I’m calling this one DONE! BOOM baby!

The National Novel Writing Month people have a new event making its debut next month: Script Frenzy! The goal: to write a 20,000 word screenplay or stageplay in the 30 days of June.
Looks like it’s time to tackle another one of my 43Things! :)
