Fuel to the fire.

Well, it’s not hard to want to eat healthier after the experience I just had.

I purchased a jar of cheese dip 2 days ago, had a few chips the night I bought it, and put it in the fridge as you’re supposed to.
I opened it again tonight only to find white and green spores of mold growing along the sides and on the lid.
Needless to say, it is in the trash and my appetite for junk is destroyed.

So tomorrow…
Shopping list:
Bananas. Strawberries. Greek yogurt. Fresh broccoli. Peppers. Chicken. Talapia. Apples. Honey nut cheerios. Milk. OJ. Cranberry juice. Apple juice. Grapes.

Oh, and new shears for hair and running shoes.

It’s time to change.

I want pretty, smooth operating arteries and veins.
I want a healthy heart.
& Body.
& Soul.
& Life.
& Most important: A clean conscience.
Knowing I did all that I could to maintain my body.
It’s the only one I have.
Better take care of it!

Ah, that reminds me. It’s time for a dental check up!

Memphis Teaching Fellows

So, I just graduated from college in December. I received an email a few days ago about how the Memphis Teaching Fellows found my resume on my alumnus website. I filled out my application and got a response in a few hours asking to schedule an appointment. My appointment is Monday at 4:30!

Memphis Teaching Fellows trains people to go in as teachers at high needs schools throughout the city.

I can only hope that I am lucky enough to get a position teaching math!
