It's been a long time since I've been here! 3 months ago

Wow, about two years :). Since that time, I learned Ruby, switched jobs and do Ruby full time now as a freelance programmer. I just want to say that I highly recommend this task. It changed my professional life for the better.

Wrote my first CGI script in Ruby 3 years ago

I did a freelance website recently and decided to use the opportunity to learn Ruby. All of the web site form processing was done in Ruby.

I tried to over-abstract for the experience and had a great time doing it.

Almost done with the basics 3 years ago

Am currently going through the UsersGuide. I highly recommend using ‘irb’ (interactive ruby) to play along with the examples. It helps to drive it in.

I’ve got a couple of CGI projects to do at work, and I am thinking that I’ll probably do them with Ruby instead of Perl :)
