It has been 46 days. I started out going to AA meetings, but my rational mind couldn’t get over the lack of data to support any claim by AA that it works. (Alcoholism has a 5% spontaneous recovery rate, ie people wake up and stop drinking. AA has a 5% success rate. Do the math)
Instead,I find peace if mind in knowing that there is alot more to life than alcohol. All i have to do is not drink, and that is really not a big deal.
Think about it – It’s just alcohol. If it seems like a big deal to give up, maybe that is your cue that you have problem.

Can not reject out of hand

I just believe that Jesus and his teachings have had such a profound effect on western culture, that I ought to know about him. I probably will still reject much of the Bible, but I can’t reject what I do not know. I was being a hypocrite about Christianity, and other religions, by not being more informed. Now I will be.
