All 50 states and all 10 proviences and 3 territories of Canada by the time I was 22.

To see the Daibutsu (the big buddha statue) and realize that thing was made 200 years before Columbus sailed will blow you away.
Also climb the Seven Flights of stairs to the Golden Kawazon statue and all the little temples in the caves in Kamakura.
A day at Ueno park/zoo is something that doesn’t get mentioned very often in guide books…totally worth it.
Ride the subway at 1am anywhere in Tokyo and feel completely safe…something that you will never experience in the US.
