Last week , while on vacation in Florida, I got up in the morning, because somebody woke me up, and there was plenty to do, so I felt motivated. Now, though, at home, I’ve fallen back into the old habit of getting up no later than one in the afternoon. I know I should keep a normal sleep schedule, but right now, I just don’t see the need.

How I did it: I left our cat carrier outside with a pillow with a towel on top inside it, and also a bowl of cat food. I left it on our porch right outside a window next to our computer, which I use a lot during the day, so that I was likely to see her. Earlier this evening, I spotter her eating the food inside the carrier, and I went outside. I meant to sneak up on her and close her in the carrier, and then bring it back to the house, but by the time … Read how I did it…
I try my best, but none of my immediate family has my problem, so, it’s very difficult. Not that they don’t understand, but they just tend to forget how serious my dietary needs are. They tend to not clean out pans thoroughly, and they don’t think it’s terribly important to make sure I have enough gf food to last me until the next time we can afford food, which is not too often, I’m sad to say. We have a lot of money issues(but who doesn’t nowadays?). They seem to think if there’s a bag of rice in the cabinet, then I’m set. I think next time that happens, I’ll ask them if they can subsist on only rice, and see how they feel about it. That’ll change their tune. Hopefully, that’s about to change, because both my brothers are moving out, so, they won’t be dependent on my parent’s paychecks anymore. So, hopefully, without all the junk my brothers always eat, hopefully, we can afford more actual food.
I feel terribly guilty saying this, but I tend not to be terribly careful with my diet, either. If I had more outward and severe, immediate symptoms of glutening, I’d definitely want to be diligent.
I just give up sometimes and go eat a bowl of ramen, which is terrible. I just feel like the whole world is against me sometimes, and no matter what, I’m getting gluten from somewhere.
Yuki showed up on my porch a few hours ago, when it was still light out. She was sniffing around where I had left the food. I had just removed it earlier because it was soggy from rain. I was going to replace it with fresh food later. If the food was out there, it would have distracted her long enough to let me grab her. I opened the door to the porch, and she got scared and ran across the yard. I chased after her without shoes on. I followed her to the bushes by the side of the river that runs behind my house. I could see her in the thicket, and I called to her. She cried every time I called her name. Then, she stepped around some bushes and I lost sight of her. I went back to the house and got my mom, and we both went back to where I saw her last. We called her, but she wouldn’t answer. We went back to the house and set up the cat carrier with a pillow and a towel, and put food and milk inside for her. I hope she’ll come back tonight. If she does, I’ll see her through the window, so hopefully I can sneak up on her and close the cat carrier door, then bring her in the house. I’m glad she’s alive and safe.
