I’ve donated at least $10-15 (not much but I’m trying to give as much lunch money as I can) and my school has raised, overall, over 650 dollars (that was yesterday’s report I didn’t hear how much they’ve gotten to today…and that was just in three days!) My Global Insights teacher says they’re going to go over $1,000 which makes me feel great. There’s no such thing as a selfless deed now. And a message board I frequent has raised almost $250. Tommorow, if we still have school, we’re going to be able to pay one dollar to wear a hat. Not much, but at least we’re doing something.

I would love to learn more languages. I’m already fluent in English, and can hold a good conversation in Vietnamese (worse in Vietnamese though…although I would do pretty well if I lived in Vietnam, I could get by) and I’m learning French. Nowhere near calling French a language I’m fluent in. I’d love to know more. I’m looking forward to learning Latin, and maybe Norwegian too.
I think languages open up the world. It’s interesting to learn about new ones, but I’d rather write and read than speak. I’d be terribly shy.
I have tried to solve one of those goddamn things for hours and hours. Hasn’t worked. Nobody I know has ever solved one…Actually a few people I know have ruined solved ones before though. When I have enough spare time to waste away my life…I’ll try it.
