I’ve read more classic literature over the past year than I have in my entire life. I still like reading modern books when I can, but I’ve been on a great schedule and have finished:

Pride and Prejudice
The Picture of Dorian Gray
The Scarlet Letter
The Fall of the House of Usher
The Raven
A Midsummers Night Dream

I’m also nearly finished with The Three Musketeers.

I feel a great deal more accomplished having these titles under my belt than the string of random other novels I’ve read over the last couple of years. Anyways, if you’re interested in classic literature, I’ve gotta recommend dailyreader – it has helped me soo much towards this goal.

Well, I’ve been saving all summer so that I could make my first trip abroad. It was so nice when I finally got to go do something so huge just by pinching a few pennies here and there.

Although I guess in the end I didn’t save anything because I spent it all on the trip, but I’m much happier to have spent the money on that fantastic vacation than to have spent it on a lunch here and a pair of shoes there.

I’ve been saving all summer to make my first trip abroad. I got the chance to visit around Northern Europe. Wow! what an awesome experience. My fave has to be Switzerland. It was just sooo beautiful over there. I can’t recommend train rides and hiking through the Alps enough.

I can’t wait to check out other corners of the globe. Next year maybe…
