I’ve been working my rear off this summer to be able to pay back all debts. It’s so close I can almost touch the debt-free state now. Just a little bit more, a little bit more, then it’s over!

How I did it: Grew up... no, seriously I became more confident, I got a job all by myself, because of myself, not like the other jobs I've had where my mum knew someone who needed someone to... or my aunt had a free spot in her job and she put in a good hand for me. I got a job that nobody else but me can be blamed for me getting it, and then I realized I had grown. I wasn't a child anymore, I was a young woman capable of handling herself in different … Read how I did it…
How I did it: Got a job ;)Studying and working at the same time.Convinced myself that if I ran out of money, someone would help me, so I stopped worrying about not having enough money and started thinking I already had an abundant life.I watched the movie The Secret the other day and realized it was what I had been doing all along on my own. It's definitely worth watching! How I did it: Hired hotel and flight through Kilroy travels.Actually we went through almost whole of the UK in 10 days; London, Nottingham, Liverpool, Inverness and Edinburgh. It was sooooo awesome! And didn't cost much either... around 1000€ for flights, hotels and transportation in the UK (bus and train) even less... I think I spent less than 1500€ on the whole trip, including food and clothes and souvenirs and books (!) My check-in weight had doubled… Read how I did it…

I realized today that, without thinking of it, I have started eating less and less sugar. Mostly because I can’t afford buying candy, all the money goes to food. But yesterday I felt rich and bought two chocolatebars, just to celebrate I quit my job and am starting a new one tomorrow. They were the first candies I bought in two and a half months and I ate one of them today, but it didn’t taste that well. I made myself eat the whole bar, because I don’t like to throw away anything still edible, and now I regret I bought two. The second bar is still in my bag, and I don’t feel like eating it. Ever.
A tip to those trying to eat less sugar: when the cravings strike, have a banana. Or apple. the bananas saved my summer and sugarlevel.
“Hi I’m Irian and I’m a bookaholic” .I love love love books and can’t get enough of them. Every time I’m downtown I go to the two major bookstores just to be in the presence of books. It’s so refreshing! But I have to keep my hands in my pockets, if I don’t do it a book might get stuck to them and I have to buy it :). Recently it’s been a battle of wills, my stomach’s will against my book-will, do I want to eat properly, or do I want to starve but be one book richer?
The thing that disturbs me most is that the majority of the books I buy just collect dust in the shelf. I haven’t read half of all the books that I own and it disturbes me. Some of the books I even got because I’ve read them a long time ago and I thought they were great, like the Lord of the Rings. Last time I read them was about 5-6 years ago… then, after I’d read them I bought the books. Haven’t opened the new books. (yet)
But I decided to do something about it! So when I go visit my parents and relatives I’ll bring only books I haven’t read. I do hope it will work.
