I told my mother that I was starting to collect recipes for a cookbook that I was making when she informed me that she had already been making me one and that it was supposed to be a surprise. opps. lol

once my mother is finished i will add to it as the years go on, but I think I can excuse myself fromthis one in good conscience.

Starting My Schedual 14 months ago

Alright. I love to sit and plan things. I’m a list maker, which probobly doesn’t mean much to you unless you yourself are a list maker as well. So, I’m planning my walk schedual, exact goals and times and all that stuff.
This is what I have so far:
I know that I am about 90 lbs overweight, according to most charts. My BMI is at 40.8 which is obviously in the obesity catagory. Though even my doctor thinks I only look about 50 lbs overweight until I step on the scale, I know that my body and heart can tell the differance, and that being only 22 years old, I should be living this part of my life to the fullest.
While I have other goals of eating healty, and drinking water, and what not to help me loose this weight, but I think this goal more than anything else will be a huge part in helping me get there. My husband
Being over weight effects my confidence. I’m quieter, and I know that I let people run over me because of this.
I would like to weigh 130lbs. Right now I’m at 216.4lbs. I don’t have a goal as to when this should be done, becuase often, when I don’t reach that goal on time, I get discouraged and quit. So this time, I won’t set a specific deadline. I relize that at times I will stay even for a bit, but my goal will be to loose 1-2 lbs every week. I know that if I loose the weight too fast, there is a chance that I will gain it back quickly.
My aprtment complex has a circumfrence of about a half mile (clocked it on my way home in my car). About a week ago I started walking at least a mile, and sometimes two. I would like to start doing this every day. I need to research the best methods for walking (what’s too much, what isn’t enough, how often, how fast)...mostly because I like to know every aspect of something that I’m dealing with and need to engross myself in a project so that I can turn this into a habit where it’s second nature.
My husband is vegitarian (I am not) and has recently been diagnosed with type II diabetes. So that combined with my desire to loose weight, all the food in the house is the healthiest I’ve ever seen. But since my husband (who also needs to loose about 90) has started eating right and exersizing with me, he has lost about 9lbs in the past 2 weeks!
I want to have kids some day, I don’t want them having a fat mommy.
I promise myself that I am going to do at least a mile of walking a day until it is routine (which according to the different things I’ve read should take about 40 days), and then I will move on from there to working out…and brush off the dust from the gym membership I paid for in advance and never used. sigh :)
