Now that the senior year of my high school life is beginning- It has brought with it a new wave of anxiety in regards to the process of my higher education to come. College had always been something I kept in the back of my mind, something I’d never give a second thought. Now, however, it has forcefully thrust itself upon every one of my day dreams, every topic of conversation with friends and loved ones. It is coming for me, college, and my biggest fear is that I won’t be ready for it. I worry that I have not prepared, that I will somehow be unable to meet the deadlines or achieve the expectations. My newest goal, which i’m very sure will instantly place itself in front of all my others as far as importance is concerned, is to get into college.

I’m currently in the process of writing what appears to be the beginnings of a book. I’ve been wrong about this before, in thinking that the occasional word pressed to paper marks the beginning to a legitimate story, but maybe this time will be different. Of course, a book isn’t written until the entire thing is finished, so the beginnings of a book is nothing as spectacular as a finished one. On the other hand, a book doesn’t get finished unless it gets started, so I suppose this ‘entry’ deal could be considered the declaration of a possible start to the completion of this goal. Then again, i’ve been wrong about THAT before as well.

I gotta figure out what the things are I need to figure out. So technically, the things I gotta figure out are the things I gotta figure out. But, in order to figure things out, I guess I gotta figure things out before I can even start to figure the things I wanna figure out, to figure them out.
