Premier Silvio Berlusconi, after the defeat against the left-wing coalition at the regional elections and the loss of two parties of the House of Liberties, which have abandoned the coalition, has announced that he is going to formally present his resignation, in order to form a new executive with the now reduced coalition.

Yesterday, the left-wing coalition of our country (called “The Union”) won (triumphed?) the regional elections against the right-wing one (called “The House of Liberties”). Today, after 3 days of silence, Silvio Berlusconi, the leader of the House of Liberties and actual Prime Minister, accepted to face members of the opposition in a political debate, in TV: to recall the last time such a thing happened, we must go back to 1994.
What we have seen tonight is what can be defined “the political suicide” of our hated Prime Minister.
Today the Senate has voted for the reform of our Constitution, a reform that is far from anything democratic: it’s a rape. A rape which is bringing our country closer and closer to a ‘monocracy’: a perverse violation of our Republic.
I hope my people’s sense of the State will save us, the day of the Approbative Referendum.
