Fly dance moves- The real universal language. 2 years ago

okay, okay- so I don’t have every move down yet, but a friend of mine forwarded this clip to me ( I guess it’s from an Indian movie called Donga.) It’s great!

Be an extra in a movie
Sea gulls & Sleep Deprivation 3 years ago

In the princess diaries I was in the scene where Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway where eating corn dogs by the Musee Mecanique, ( before it moved to fisherman’s Warf )
I was supposed to stand in line at the corn dog cart- pay , then take a bite of a corn dog and walk away. There where like 5 other people doing the exact same thing- it was fun at first ( I kept thinking I can’t believe Mary poppins is right other there!” ) but they had to keep “cutting” so after about an hour I was cold and bored. There was an animal trainer who kept throwing bread off the side of the cliff because they wanted seagulls in the shot- she was so exaggerated and she grunted every time she did it. I couldn’t stop laughing. Eventually- they cut me out of the movie, but I got to see Julie Andrews. I tried talking to Ann Hathaway but she ignored me and walked into a trailer.

A girlfriend of mine does “union work” in L.A ( that’s a fancy way of saying she gets paid a bit more and sometimes she has a line or two.) she told me that they need extras for “Rat Race.” At first I thought it was going to be great! There are a lot of big stars in that movie and the last time wasn’t so bad- WRONG! It was terrible! They filmed a concert scene in the middle of nowhere. There where thousand and thousands of high school kids standing in front of a stage in the middle of a run down farm. They blasted smash mouth over and over- and they insisted we dance and enjoy ourselves – and to remember,“ It’s a hot new Mexican summer!“ They didn’t start filming until 6 pm ( when all the mosquito where out) and they didn’t stop until – almost 3 am! For 3 days. It was freezing! It must have been less than 40 degrees, Someone told me they had to edit all the fog from the extras because it was so cold.

I know all sounds kind of bad- but really, I had some fun and it was cool to be part of a movie.

learn how to drive stick-shift
If you can't find it- Grind it. 3 years ago

I rented at stick shift from rent- a – wreck and I promised my self I wasn’t going to return the car until I figured it out.

I read online to get the “gist” of it- but 7 hours and 3 red bulls later, in the mall parking lot. I figured it out.
every 3 thousand RPMs – go to the next gear. oh, and neutral is your best friend.
