I’m going to take a wait and see stance on this for a few months. Now that my salary is being cut, I have to wait and see how things go.

This should be done this week. Closing was supposed to be last Tuesday, but of course there were some gliches. Maybe it will be final on my birthday again, like when I originally purchased the house.

I had to fire my mortgage broker. After the first loan fell through, he didn’t seem so interested in helping me anymore. He did find me another loan, but the interest rate was too high. Even he admitted this. So I just went back to Wells Fargo, who holds the mortgage now. They offered me a good rate and did not ask for any documentation,(no hoops to jump thru? right, we’ll see). As of now, the re-fi is in the works, set to close end of January. It’s a way better deal, I am happy with it, as long as nothing changes….
