How I did it
It made me
a green thumb! 
How I did it: I decided I wanted to grow some windowsill herbs for fresh cooking, so I went and bought a pot and some potting soil from my local garden store. I also found a packet of mixed herb seeds on sale. These, together with judicious watering and a sunny windowsill, have produced a thriving little herb garden in my kitchen! Read how I did it…

feel artistic!
How I did it: I went over to a friend's house after work with the promise of a present. I wasn't expecting anything, really, but it turns out he'd bought me a typewriter (and lugged it around 100 blocks, no less)! He found it at a thrift store without a price and managed to haggle it down to $10. It's fully functional and even came with a working ribbon. I love it! Read how I did it…

How I did it: I used an online instruction article (you can find it in my earlier entries) and created some aqua duct tape sandals. It took me all of 20 minutes, and the hardest part was cutting out the cardboard! We'll see how long they last. Read how I did it…

I’ve got an empty wine bottle sitting in my room…it’s been sitting there for months now. I don’t know what’s keeping me from rolling up a message and tossing the whole thing into the canal. Maybe I’ll do that this week!
I’m taking a trip down to L.A. in September to kind of scope out the area, see where I might want to get an apartment, that sort of thing. I’m excited to get my first whiff of freedom, since I’m traveling alone and will be on my own for a good five days. I’m so excited to move to that city, it’s not even freaking funny.
