I am not giving up on meditating, I am giving up on the commitment to do it each morning and evening. I know it would be really good for me mentally to do that but I am just not there right now. This becomes another monkey on my back. It would be more practical for me to meditate right before I go to bed. But I am not sure I can stick to that. So I am just going to leave it more open ended and just try to meditate once a day for at least 3 minutes. And hopefully if I fill that commitment it will effect me in a way that I eventually do meditate before I go to bed and then eventually meditate in the morning as well. This initial intention was just to much for me to fufill at the moment.

Why I gave Up

I have not given up running everyday but I gave up trying to commit to run each morning. I am just not a morning person, it is so “American” and “Type A” and being a “winner” to get up in the morning and run. My new goal is to run every day, at a minimum for 1/2 hour but it does not matter when. If eventually I get up in the morning to run, great! But I am not going to put the monkey on my back that it has to be first thing in the morning…...
