Today I am seeing a therapist for the first time. I have already been prescribed with an anti-depressant by a GP but have been reluctant to take it, especially after reading about the side effects. I don’t know why exactly I am depressed, but I have suffered with this for a while now and need to take steps to enjoy life again because I just am not having fun anymore. If this is a chemical imbalance, then I am willing to go onto anti-depressants to treat it. This is a major goal for me, as without feeling better I will not be able to progress much in my other goals.

To get to this goal, I have decided to take a Dreamweaver course this month. Since I have a Mac with a duo processor and already have Dreamweaver for the PC, I can use the PC software although I would much rather use a Mac application for building a website that can support e-commerce. Wish all software worked on all platforms, sigh….the age-old problem with Macs although I love them.
At the beginning of the year armed with New Year resolutions, I joined Weight Watchers and joined a gym. I lost 9 lbs but couldn’t keep up the meetings. I have not been to the gym often as I find it so boring except for Yoga classes. So after August holidays and another 5 lbs, I am renewing my intention to lose weight and get in shape. I am joining Slimming World on the recommendation of a friend, and making a gym schedule. I have a high school reunion in November so my goal is to lose at least 10 pounds by then. I weigh 155 lbs and will be very happy with losing 20 lbs total. I need to stay motivated this time.
