I never used to run until I graduated elementary school. I was lazy from ages 1-12. In grade seven, I made the basketball team. That changed things forever for me.
After I started playing sports, there were no reasons not to run. If I was running all the time in sports, why couldn’t I do it out of sports?
My mother has run 4 half-marathons. Unfortunately, she injured her ankle and now cannot run. It is very frustrating for her. I am going to run this half-marathon for her.
Currently, I can run 9 miles no problem. I am pretty sure I am well on my way. I have until May to build up my endurance to run that extra four miles.
When I say I want to be successful, I mean a whole lot of things. Being successful to me would involve a good job, a loving relationship, an excellent education, and a best friend.
I know that I am somewhat successful now, but it is not the same level of success that I want to have in the future. For a 15-year-old girl, you could say that I am successful. I try hard in school, I have a bestfriend that I intend to keep around for awhile, and I play on the school basketball team. You have to admit, I am a successful teenage girl.
But I’m not talking about now. I’m talking about 10, 15 years down the road, when I am more mature, and know what I will do with the rest of my life.
I need to, before I die, have a successful job, experience love, go to a well-known university, and still have my best friend.
