I’m giving up on this one. Maybe I could have achieved this by the end of the year, but I’m so bad at recording these things, measuring it is too difficult.

How I did it: I'm going to mark this one off now, as with the new timetable that has come in this year, there is workshop/development time at the end of each day. If there isn't a meeting or a workshop to teach then there's 45 minutes free time at the end of each day to do stuff like this. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I've had all the feedback from the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Nutrition and Health and have passed it. It was quite a miserable experience actually. I thought it would be interesting, but it essentially consisted of three pamphlets you had to read, like something you get in a doctors' waiting room, and then a workbook with short answer questions which you answered by copying out the infomation in the pamphlets. It’s s bit too late in the year for this one now, but I’m going to put it on the list for next year.
In 2007 I had the very beatable time of 02:33:29.
I’d done almost enough training over the summer, then managed to get ill a week and a half ago. With a nasty virus/cough. So I shouldn’t even have run it. But I did. Well, I jogged it, and walked a couple of miles.
In the end I came in at 02:49:46, a pathetic time out of context, but I crossed the line, got my medal and t-shirt, and didn’t end up at the side of the road being carted off by an ambulance. I enjoyed it too, although it was very tiring towards the end.
Alas, it seems to have brought on a chest infection, and I am off the the doctor this afternoon. But non, je ne regrette rien…
