This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever heard of. I stayed in Balmer’s Hostel in Interlaken, Switzerland in July 2006. This hostel runs a lot of outdoor adventure activities and we were signed up to go canyoning, which is jumping and sliding down waterfalls in the Alps, but we couldn’t go because the water level was too high. I’ve wanted to do it ever since.

How I did it: I spent seven weeks in the summer of 2007 working with children in Beijing. I was sent to work with the U.S. embassy by Camp Adventure Youth Services, which is an organization through the University of Northern Iowa which sends U.S. university students to military bases and embassies around the world to provide summer child care. I actually went the the wall the first week and the fifth week that I was there. The first week we decided to … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I went to Hawai'i this summer with an internship program and got the group to go to the Paradise Cove luau. We were working on Pearl Harbor Naval Station for our internship so the tickets were discounted, but actually getting out to the luau is tricky if you don't have a car. This luau offers shuttle service but you have to be staying in a hotel in Waikiki, so it wasn't useful to us. Read how I did it…
I’ve heard that it’s the most beautiful place in the world… I hope to see for myself.
we have bought tickets and we will be going for Spring Break. Specifically, I want to spend St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin and visit the Blarney Castle and Cliffs of Moher. The tickets were only $420 total roundtrip from Chicago… if you want to go to Ireland keep an eye out on Expedia for cheap deals.
