I love to read. I find it very relaxing. I own tons of books. I start many of them but then become distracted by life and never finish them. Mostly non-fiction of the How-to variety. I love the idea of reading a book from start to finish then I don’t have the nagging feeling that I’ve missed something important. Still I feel that I’m missing something while I’m reading. I could use some counseling, or ritalin.

How I did it: I went to Vegas to hang out with my wealthy TV star friend while he was doing a weekend show. Since he needed to be back in LA on Monday morning he chartered a jet. It was a 6 seater. He invited me along. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started by putting away my credit card. So not to accumulate any more debt. I kept it but as long as I was not carying it around I wouldn't use it impulsively. I only owed about $2500 so this wasn't monumental undertaking in that respect. For me the trick is not encreasing the debt since the good folks at Cap 1 were more than willing to lend to me. I've been the starving actor and comedian for 20 years. I'm used to being broke and using… Read how I did it…
A sports car- 2 seater, possibly one of those tiny back seats that are only good for children, dogs and amputees. Quick with little cargo space.
A sports car represents the ultimate freedom. When you don’t need to take anything but yourself and maybe a companion. You’ve got room for a cup of coffee, an overnight bag, and a credit card. You arrive with the shirt on your back and you get there fast.
More important is creating room in your life for the sports car freedom. Securing sufficient income, or a stack of cash, to make the sweet ride a joy instead of a burden. Having a secure home- paid for, a bigger car for passengers and cargo when needed, or at least a credit card to rent a bigger vehicle when the need arises. And a parking space. I’m not driving around the neighborhood every night looking for a space for my 645. Takes away all the cool.
After setting up an account that wasn’t easily accessible, I had to find little windfalls that weren’t already a part of my budget. Unaccounted for money. My “Stimulus” check, A friend paying back an old loan, Poker winnings. these windfalls went into the Credit Union account. The credit union savings is a separate bank from my regular checking and savings, so I’m less likely to dip into it on a whim.
Next Stop- pay off the credit card.
