I’d like to learn how to play an instrument that’s pretty practical. Guitar or piano come to mind. I’d just like to be good enough that if I played for someone they’d enjoy it.
I just broke out my trumpet from middle school, and it’s been fun to get started with it (again). I’d like to learn some good jazz and who knows, maybe a little improve. Let’s not get too crazy.

How I did it: I visited my great-grandfathers hometown in Slovakia with 17 family members. We toured much of the country and it was totally incredible! To be honest I wasn't the brains behind the trip. My dad's cousin had records of our family and she organized the trip. I know she really was frustrated with people wanting to go but it was all worth it for everyone when we got there. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was in a point where I was really poor...I gave up paying for haircuts and thought I might as well help other people out in the process. I chopped 11 inches and I think I will go for it again! Read how I did it…
So I’m fairly physically active. (I ran 5.5 miles yesterday without stopping!) I like to hike, run, bike, and swim…but apparently this isn’t enough!! I CANNOT do a pull-up. In fact, I have only done 1 in my entire life. That was in the second grade and I have no idea how I managed it for the annual physical fitness test. I’ve been using the pull-up assist machine at the gym, but I’m just not seeing results when I try it alone! Anyone consider themselves in good shape, but can’t do a pull-up? What gives??
