It was put on by a guy who writes for men’s (Stuff, Maxim) and women’s (Redbook, Glamour) mags. One of those mediabistro things. It was an OK seminar, but I think it was very good for my confidence. Having been a newspaper writer for years, I know I can do this. I just have to start sending out queries. The best thing he probably said is that editors really LOVE when they get a good query. I guess that was motivating for me.
