I’ve finally done this!!! It took some time, but well worth it and just in time for being clear of debt for graduate school. Tips for acheiving this, I’d say to always pay above the minimum and only really use your credit cards for emergency purchases, and then, pay it back as soon as possible so you’re back to your balance before the emergency. Ask your credit card company to help you achieve your goal and they can decrease the interest rate. Never be late for the payments, it’s a waste of money, and only inhibits you further from achieving your goal.

I took a class in a nearby community college once a week for two hours on a Saturday. It was great because it started at 10am so it wasn’t too early. I put myself in the intermediate section of the class even though the head instructor wanted me to swim with the advanced students. My goal was to improve in my stroke. I already know how to swim, but I wanted to seriously understand the technique behind it. My last actual swim class was almost 20 years ago. I’m happy with the results of my class. We went though most of the strokes but definitely got a great work out and knowledge of how to create a swim workout for myself. I improved my freestyle stroke greatly and ended up being the fastest one in my class.
