after selling an 8-foot couch and four dining chairs on Craig’s List, I went to work on the Salvation Army pile, taking an inventory, pulling out some stuff to consign, and repacking it very neatly. It’s actually looking halfway decent. And how much do I love Craig’s List? People come and just take stuff away!

I got the flu three weeks ago and have not smoked since. I knew I was an occasional smoker - I just had to have the impetus to stop. I don’t consider myself to have quit or to be a former smoker - I’m just not smoking. And liking not smoking. Of course, cold weather helps—I don’t smoke in the house or car, so it’s a little easier to quite when the weather sucks. I admit I kinda wanted one on Thanksgiving when I was ever so slightly buzzed, but it passed.
change jobs so I don’t work across the street from Borders…
give away my computer to eliminate Amazon and Daedalus access…
give away books I’ve read that are good but have no sentimental value (keep anything read during college, grad school, or any particularly memorable period of my life)
get rid of some (half?) the unread books that are hanging around mocking me…
stop breathing…
