Was approached by www.keeponcrabbin.com (a new online hermit crab food store). They want to carry Crabotanicals brand in their store beginning 2010.
Also, www.thehappyhermitcrab.com is back in business, so they may be wanting to carry Crabotanicals again soon.

Whoa did my local goodwill mistreat me! By far the worst employment experience of my life! But, I still believe in Goodwill and will continue to shop other online locations. Maybe in the future, I can return to this dream job…when they have a drastic change in management!

55 gallon tank
I love my 55 gallon tank, but I keep my population low (have 4 crabs now) so that the setup is managable. I’ve had good success with this.

Opened a little shop on Etsy.com at http://crabotanicals.etsy.com where I have a few variety packs of hermit crab food for sale. We’ll see how it goes….
Also developing http://freewebs.com/crabotanicals into a hermit crab care site which focuses on general hermit crab care topics, not necessarily related to food.

I really like blogspot.com for the blogging, and I’ve also used freewebs.com for a storefront that I’m working on, but it isn’t as user-friendly for a computer dummy like me. blogspot was easier to figure out if you’re just going to blog.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are the only ones whose teachings and practices are solidly based on the Bible, not tradition or secular trends. They are the only group who does not participate in war. They are the only group who supports and advocates God’s Kingdom ruled by Christ Jesus as the true hope for mankind.

After taking the Jung Typology test at humanmetrics.com, I discovered that I fit the INTJ personality profile perfectly. I think that I have always had a strong sense of who I am, but this test helped me understand why others respond to me and perceive me the way that they often do. I am often confused and frustrated by other people because they don’t see what comes so easily to me. Now I see that 99% of the population is going to approach a situation or problem from a completely different mindset than I do. Armed with this information, I think I can avoid conflicts w/ coworkers and family members from here on out.
I’ve also come to have new appreciation for my ability to foresee the outcome of a certain course and to understand concepts before they are implemented. That is unique and marketable.

As a resident of planet earth, I have a duty to be a good citizen. With the environment in peril, I must do my part to contribute as little as possible to the mess.

The success of owning hermit crabs is dependent on doing your research first. What they tell you in the petstore about their care is only going to get you by for a month or two. Join a forum so you can network w/ a community of people who have experience and know what works and what doesn’t. They are amazing creatures and rather inexpensive for exotic pets.

When I break out, I put straight Bragg’s apple cider vinegar on a cottonball, hold my breath, and smear it on my face. Then I let it dry. My skin feels like it has a slight sunburn from the acidic tonic, but eventually subsides and feels smoother and I even sleep w/ the dried vinegar on my face. The longer it is on, seems like, the better it feels.
I discovered this while reading the vinegar book that tells how vinegar has the perfect pH of skin. I wish I’d known about it through my teen years.

If you learn what the most righteous person in the universe says is right and wrong and you learn to do right, then you can be confident that you have God’s approval. Once you experience the pride that comes with a clean conscience, what others think doesn’t matter much in comparison. There is a huge trend right now where individuals personally decide what is right and wrong which puts a lot of pressure on each one of us to do what is right in this person’s eyes or that person’s eyes, from parents to friends to workmates. But there is truly only one standard of right and wrong—God’s. Focus on the standard that truly matters and nevermind everyone else.

I learned that the judgement center of your brain does not fully develope until you reach your mid-20s. That is why as a teenager, you are obsessed with what others think of you and why you follow your peers instead of deciding your way through your own course. For many, when your brain matures (at about age 25) it is like a switch is thrown and what others think just doesn’t matter that much. Most people desire freedom to make important decisions in life long before your brain is fully capable of weighing all of the factors involved in order to make a sound decision. Some even take it on themselves to choose a marriage partner, have children, etc. at an early age—long before this change occurs. Interestingly, drug and alcohol abuse keep the judgement center from developing at a normal rate and can keep it from ever developing at all.

I would like to see more people consider keeping land hermit crabs as pets. They are fascinating creatures. Sadly, though, the pet industry has marketed these as throw-away pets when their life expectancy is 4-5 years with proper care and over 30 years in rare cases.

Some friends of ours have offered us a standing invitation to visit them in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Saving the money will be a challenge, but my husband and I are looking forward to seeing our dear friends, watching whales, and eating conch!

I caught a portion of some show on TV where people on a small boat brought a queen conch up out of the ocean. I was mesmerized when the skillful native man took a knife and removed the creature from inside the enormous seashell in seconds. He discarded the shell and some undesirable parts and began slicing off portions and distributing them among the others. Everyone commented on how sweet the meat was and all I could think of was how I would love to greedily gulp down a “scallop” that is bigger than my hand! I only saw a few minutes of it, but the idea got lodged in my head. Some friends have invited us to visit them in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and I am pretty sure that fresh conch could easily be found there!

None of the other things on your list have the potential for bringing you as much genuine happiness as this goal! Jehovah’s Witnesses have a great Personal Home Bible Study course that can help you gain a lot of knowledge in a short time without having to study religious philosophy and church doctrine—and it is free.
