I’m currently on book number 16, and we’re just about half way through the year now. This means I’m about 4 books short of where I should be if I’m still aiming for 40. However, we’re also at the beginning of what is going to be a very long summer for me, so hopefully I’ll get quite a lot of reading in now.
As for reading books of more substance, well, I’m not doing badly. I realised shortly after reading ‘Birdsong’ by Sebastian Faulks that my list of ‘decent’ adult books is shockingly low. I’ve really only read Helen Fielding, Nick Hornby, Sophie Kinsella, a little Alexander McCall Smith, and ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ by Arthur Golden. But…I have already noted down some more ‘high-brow’ books that I would like to read this summer. Hopefully I should return in September a more accomplished reader, ready for my As Level English Lit course :)
Oh, and there’s Harry Potter to look forward to in two weeks!

Ever since seeing videos of Queen play here when I was small, I’ve always wanted to go to a concert at Wembley Stadium.
Fortunately the first band to sell out the new Wembley were one of my three favourite bands! Muse.
It was an absolutely amazing concert, as I’m sure anybody who was there will agree :) It’s incredibly difficult to sum up in a few words. But if I could use just one it would be: mesmerising.
And the concerts since (Concert for Diana, Live Earth…) have again and again proved that Wembley is one of the best venues on the planet for live music. It makes me proud of London and England :)

I cannot believe it took me so long to complete this goal. Maybe it was the anticipation that it wouldn’t be quite as good as a mocha from Caffe Nero…but in the end I quashed my fears and just went for it.
And I’m so glad I did.
Admittedly, it wasn’t actually that nice. It was from a hotel room though, which had a kettle that took about an hour to boil and therefore your ‘hot drink’ was never really going to be that ‘hot’. But…it was worth the experience (y)
I haven’t done it again yet. Dare I try some Nescafe? (That is coffee right?)
