I have figured out 5 days ago

why yesterday (Friday) was so very good.

Don’t send the men in the white coats for me, but it was the housecleaning.

This week, since I have been off work, I have been getting in touch with my house: cleaning it, enjoying it, rediscovering it. And yesterday, especially, I made it smell good and look good, and that made me happy.

Housecleaning made me happy? I am so scared. Will someone please go in the back yard and find the pod that the aliens grew this version of me in?

I have a prospect 5 days ago

who is supposed to come and see me on Wednesday.

I spoke to her on the phone, and she sounds promising. We shall see.

find my wedding rings
Phew! 5 days ago

I have been missing them for about 3 days. I do occasionally slip them off and set them beside me wherever I am, so I have looked all around the house.

I was envisioning having swept them off a table with a pile of newspapers or mail.

But there they were, in my jewelry box. I never keep them there; I usually put them in a drawer.

They are not expensive or flashy: a diamond-and ruby anniversary band and a single ruby flanked by smalldiamonds. Of course, they are priceless to me. :)
