I have wanted to do this ever since I was a small child and read A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court for the first time. I was planning on going to Easter Island for next summer’s total solar eclipse, but I am going to London next summer, so I may have to wait and go to Australia in 2012, but I definitely intend to do this one.

I won two passes to meet GC from their official fan club. They were all really nice and the show was awesome too. I didn’t actually get to take anything with me for them to sign, since all my cds and stuff are at my parents’ house in Texas… All my music is on my iPod and my Computer and I had to take a plane to get to grad school, so I pretty much only have essentials. But Benji was just like, you don’t want us to sign anything? So they signed my ticket and I actually got to talk to Joel for a while. He was super-nice, but Paul was the nicest guy of the bunch.

I saw Rancid play in Houston last month and they were beyond awesome. They played almost anything anyone could want to hear including some Op Ivy and Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards. They came back and played a few songs ACOUSTICALLY before they went into an electric encore. You should really, really go see them live.

I’ve been a professional photographer since I was 16. It’s loads of fun. I mainly shoot sports, but I also do portraits, journalism, events and weddings. I’m currently working on my Master’s degree in journalism.

Yeah the GRE can be scary, and the testing room was COLD, but it’s a necessary evil if you want to go to grad school. I bought the Princeton Review book and not one of the more than 600 vocabulary words it contained was on the actual test, so I guess I’d recommend Kaplan, not that I can complain much since I still got in to a really good school.

I just finished my Bachelor’s degree in Communications-Print Journalism and Philosophy and I’m headed to grad school to get my Master’s in Journalism in the fall. I love all aspects of journalism. I love daily news and the rush of covering an exciting story, of knowing that I’m there as history is taking place, I love learning new things every day and informing the public of events in the world, I love editorial and opinion writing, with the different perspective it allows along with the research and artistic freedom, I love writing, design and most of all, photography. That is why I want to be a journalist.

Sick of it All is AWESOME live! They made everyone in the concert hall divide down the middle and then we all switched sides… It was so much fun! Not to mention they sounded awesome, too!

Even though Danzig wans’t there… I dragged a friend, a homosexual male who was terrified of the people and went outside to read a book about five minutes after the Misfits started playing. It was pretty funny and after he left I didn’t have to hold back on the moshing anymore! It was payback. He made me go see Dave f-ing Matthews, whom I can’t stand.

Or so my friends say.
I inspired three friends to quit doing various drugs habitually.
I inspired at least two people to take up photography.
I inspired one person to start acting, get involved in school and smile more.
I inspired several of my best friend’s poems.
I inspired one of my brother’s songs.
I inspired two people to go back to the Catholic faith.
And so far, at least three guys (at least one of whom was NOT attempting to get into my pants) have said that I inspired them to be better people.
My advice for being an inspiration is just to live as you think that you should, which is sometimes different from the way you want to live. The best way to lead is by example, is what my old choir director used to say. He inspired me in that, I guess. Also, only give advice when it is asked, because change is most valuable when it comes from within.

I graduated yesterday. It was an amazing experience. Since my birthday is next week, I can truthfully say that I was a college graduate at 21. Graduation was long, and kinda boring at times, but definitely worth it. We had to sit in our departments, so I was with a lot of my friends and when we sang the Alma Mater for the first time as alumni, it was weird… We were singing the Alma Mater, sober, and not at a sporting event. We just kind of looked at each other like, “Oh, that’s what this song is about.” It was definitely a great day, despite some setbacks, and I wish everyone the best of luck in achieving this goal. Hopefully, I’ll be adding it again soon, since I’m still waiting to hear about grad school.

I’m done with my classes, at least for my undergraduate work. There being no more classes for me to skip, I have successfully stopped skipping them.

My philosophy professor delivered this really great lecture the other day and promptly farted. Really, really loudly. As soon as I was able to think, “This would be an excellent time to start a slow clap,” the guy two seats away started one, and all I could do was participate, knowing all the while that my slow clap had been taken from under my nose in my few moments of shock at the gastric abilities of my professor.

I gave up biting my nails for Lent. I’m Catholic, so for at least 40 days, no biting my nails for me. It’s already been 12 days, and not a single nail has been bitten! Some of them are peeling a bit, but I’ve been able to keep myself from biting them. After they get long enough to where it doesn’t look weird, I’ll paint them. Having painted nails always keeps me from biting them because who wants a mouthful of nail polish, right?

I have taken a few photography courses recently, but none of them have really helped… The most beneficial one that I have taken was the first, where I also learned darkroom techniques. In every other course, teachers and professors just went through a few things I already knew. I either learned everything when I was 14, or taught myself. I guess I would reccommend a class for a beginner, but if you have experience, just check out other peoples’ work to get ideas on how to improve your own and adapt new techniques to fit your own vision.

I learned photography at 14 and have been a professional photographer since I was 16 (portrait and sports action). I love photography in all forms. I can do print or digital photography with a manual or an automatic camera and can develop and print my own film. I also have extensive experience with Photoshop. Photography is an awesome hobby to have/skill to pick up. I love photography so much because it gives me the opportunity to share my view of the world with everyone else. I am definitely willing to help anyone with the basics, developing and composition. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask me.
