I applied for this position one year ago but did not get it due to lack of experience. The original Business Office Manager (Sally) moved up to Executive Director and hired Becky (from outside) to fill her place. Well, when I returned from Alaska in August, my boss called me and said that Sally fired Becky and wanted me to take the position. Apparrently, Becky hadn’t paid any bills since January. The Internet service was shut off, the water was almost shut off, and Barkley’s credit was suspended with most of its vendors.
I started last Thursday! There is a month’s worth of work to catch up on, but I’m really excited that I got the job!
