How I did it: Practice Practice Practice. Learning Guitar takes a lot of it but it doesn't all have to be boring scales and just notes on a page. I never was good at learning to read music or how to play scales. I learned guitar by watching others and playing in a band. I developed an ear for music and constantly practiced new things.
