The people make Ireland what it is. The countryside is lovely, as it is in that part of the world anyway. But the Irish make it a wonderful place.
Looking forward to actually returning this year, with a horse ride in mind through Donegal.

Fantastic. Along with a trip to the Kennedy Space Centre it will just leave you in awe of many, many things.
I did this in ‘99 with my mate. Drove from LA to Charlotte in N.Carolina. Bus to Florida. Drove Florida to Philly. Bus to NYC. Drove NCY to Boulder, Colorado. Drove Denver to San Fran. Bus to LA. Flew back to London/Scotland and home to Australia.
This was done using the AutoDriveaway company. I would do it again (and am actually thinking of it for a trip to the US with my wife later this year 2007).
We initially were looking to buy our own vehicle. We still got to see a lot of the country and partiucularly parts that you would not see following the main tourist trails.
