Well, we’re getting close now. Yesterday, we met with a couple of guys who’ve started a fund called HomeEasy that GIVES you money toward your deposit. If you’re in Australia (probably just Sydney really), you should really check these guys out. The idea is increadibly clever, and it means me and my wife can now buy a house. We can’t spend very much, but we know how much we’re playing with and can begin looking – knowing that we can make an offer. YAY! Not far to go with this one!

...but not as a code monkey.

I’d really love to write and direct/produce games, but not really code. I have a uni degree in software development, but I really have much more of a passion for creating the ideas and piecing together the stories/characters/locations/systems/world view that creates a particular game. I think a code background would help, but I really don’t have enough insight into the industry to know if people can just get these kind of positions, or if you have to be the CEO’s brother. I mean hey, SOMEONE has to be doing it.

Well, success. I’ve made a beautiful double-shot flat white using some fabulous coffee my parents brought me back from Paupua New Guinea recently.
I’m glad I set out to achieve this goal. I fill furfilled.
