I just applied to be a substitute for the Bridgeport Public School system. I know I will have to take a piss test at some point, so I have to stop smoking weed. Normally, I like to get high several times a week. Time for a sacrifice. I’ve been clean for forty-eight hours so far. Another two weeks and I should be safe for the test. This one is in the bag; mind over matter!

My three friends and I took a trip to Amsterdam after high school graduation. While there we met two chics from Munich, Germany. I hooked up with one of them. I was seventeen at the time and she was sixteen. We spent a phenomenal two days together before they had to go back to Germany. It was a hard goodbye filled with tears. I tried to keep in touch via email but it didn’t work. It has taken me years to realize this, but I can honestly say it was the only time in my life I have ever experienced true love. Her name was Becca Trojan.
I remember she taught me a cool custom: when you light a cigarette for someone you are romantically interested in, you maintain eye contact while doing it and you light your own smoke with the same flame.
Playing original music with my friends gave me moments of perfection that I cannot describe. This experience solidified my passion for the performing arts. I have NEVER felt more alive than when I am on stage. The time spent playing with my band enabled me to become fully aware of the extent of this passion.
