I’ve managed to lose 25 pounds in the last 4 months by cutting down on carbs, adding some walking. My knees and back hurt less, and I’m down 2 pant sizes.
No white foods…bread, potatoes, rice, pasta….SUGAR!! Husband is down 30, son down 20 (he cheats more)
I started Spanish in 3rd grade, and earned a BA. Then, the Army sent me to the Defense Language Institute to learn Russian. This was the best school ever! I also picked up some German and Japanese, when I lived in those countries. I taught Spanish for 12 years, and loved it!
I have studied various martial arts since 1974, earning a 5th dan, Taekwondo, 5th dan Judo and 6th dan juijitsu. I am currently studying Tai Chi, as I’m getting too old and fragile for some of the more active arts.
As a woman, I have found the martial arts gave me confidence, and helped me gain control over my body and my emotions. I encourage EVERYONE to learn a martial art.
