How I did it: A week ago or so, I went into a small local produce store, and handed in my resume, even through I didn't think they would be hiring anyone. How I did it: My friend told me about weekly roller derby meets that were being held at the YMCA.I got together my helmet and money for the entrance fee and went down to check it out.My friend and I laced up our rental skates and teetered onto the gym floor. How I did it: During my participation in the Katimavik program, there arose the opportunity for my group and I to take the basic test almost for free. The gentleman qualified to oversee the test came to our house one day and we sat down to fill out the questionnaire. Alcohol. It makes you a bit more uninhibited :)
Luckily I was with people who were sensitive to my needs and comfort level and didn’t pressure me into doing anything. It was intimate and special, in a way I have never felt before.
So this means 10lbs to go.
I considered this goal and have set a number goal as a means to make things measurable. But my real goal is to attain better health and fitness, with the welcome side-effect being a few inches off the gut
