“I won’t put in a load of laundry, because the machine is too loud and would drown out other, more significant noises – namely, the shuffling footsteps of the living dead.”
― David Sedaris
OK – this is going on a post it note for strangers as part of that goal

“This left me alone to solve the coffee problem – a sort of catch-22, as in order to think straight I need caffeine, and in order to make that happen I need to think straight.”

I got a free Ibook copy of #59 Artemas Fowl from Starbucks (coffee and free apps, tv, music or books – also got the very first Treehouse of Horror episode of the Simpsons) Maybe I will pick an R title to go with the A to Z challenge.

Week 23: 33.56 Miles with a Sunday 10.16 mile hike around Lake Chabot. Lots of hilly land on this hike and lots of mountain bikes on the first part so you get lots of dust as they stream by. The hiking only part through the woods makes up for that – that and the ice cream cone at the marina at the end….

Week 22: 37.83 miles. 10.72 miles in Redwood. You know that thing where you really, really don’t want to exercise but then you start and everything is great? Well this was not that – every mile I just wanted to go home and read a book – five more weeks to the half marathon distance

Week 21: 31.5 miles this week with a couple of long walks while I was in Chicago for a friends wedding. I also topped 1,100 miles since last October 21st. I am hoping to do a half marathon distance by the one year date and it would be symbolic to have 1310 miles for the year.

Week 20: 36.2 miles with a Sunday redwood hike of 10.72 miles. I have been doing long hikes no problem but this week I ended up with a huge red blister on a toe – the week before I planned to wear cute blue sandals to a wedding
