I’m sure what I expected with this goal, but I know it ended up differently than expected. I’m now divorced, in grad school, and living on my own. It’s been a painful process, but I think it’s ultimately worth it. I have made great strides in my mental health, I’m on a good career path, and I no longer feel as stifled in my romantic relationship. I can see more options ahead of me and I can breathe easier.

How I did it: I found an acne wash with salicylic acid to use on my face and upper back, but discovered that it wasn't sufficient to eliminate stubborn back acne. I supplemented this treatment with a scrub that contained benzoyl peroxide after I read in a magazine that the combination proved to be most effective. This gave me the best results. The only challenge is keeping up with it daily. Read how I did it…
How I did it: We went with an AT&T U-Verse bundle (cable and internet) and haven't had any problems with the service yet. It's a great value for the price (especially when compared to cable) and I love having the ability to stream video online. Read how I did it…
How I did it: After pricing out a few places and looking through their inventory, I settled on JC Penney Optical. They have very reasonable prices if you're paying out of pocket and I found a very solid choice of frames (perhaps less funky than other options I looked at, but more practical for a day-to-day look and my wedding day pictures). If my monetary situation loosens up, I may purchase "cooler" frames for prescription sunglasses or a … Read how I did it…

This goal didn’t quite end up the way I expected. I found it difficult to get a new job for a long while. Then, a job landed in my lap right before I had to move cities. I only held that job for two months. Once I moved, I found myself once again unemployed. Then I got a divorce, which forced my hand. I enrolled in grad school and found work at a student job. I’m happy with this new job and I’m on a solid career path.
So I’ve been slacking on this goal. A lot. So much, in fact, that those DVDs are no longer in my possession. Never fear, though: I’ve watched Cowboy Bebop and my boyfriend just bought Samurai Champloo.
I loved the style of Cowboy Bebop, but I felt as if there was a lot of unexplored potential. I was expecting some grand unifying plot where there was none. Still, the style alone (especially the music) makes this a worthwhile watch.
