Let’s pretend my mom’s maiden name was Smith.
Let’s also pretend that her married name was Jones.
She was divorced for about 24 years when she passed, however, she never went back to her maiden name and kept Jones because of her child (me).
My asshole grandfather (her father), who didn’t communicate w/ me at all during the funeral planning even though I asked him to on more than one occasion, got a headstone that reads
Nancee Sue Jone Smith
Notice that her name that she kept by choice is in the wrong place and spelled incorrectly.
It makes me so angry that I can barely stand to visit the grave. Plus, it isn’t raised and raised ones are only a few hundred dollars more.

Hubs and I stayed at a hotel for one night over the weekend and it was fabulous. I slept like a baby in the huge comfy bed and enjoyed the clutter free room. I didn’t truly realize how wonderful the hotel room was until we came home and couldn’t fall asleep on our rock hard bed. Then, after much tossing & turning, I got up to use the bathroom and nearly tripped to my death over the mountain of laundry and an overturned work bag. Enough. My sleep is too important.
1) clean
2) stop throwing laundry on the floor – this is a big one for me, 26 years worth of behavior to recondition
3) new bed – I was waiting until we bought a house but I’m sick of waiting and the house hunting is taking too long
4) new bedding – ridiculously high thread count
5) get Hubs on board so the entire room is clean and clutter free
6) new bedroom furniture – this one will actually wait until we buy a house

Hubs & I went to Halloween Horror Nights and had a great time. We stayed the night in a hotel w/ an amazingly comfortable bed then played mini-golf, ate at Uno’s & visited Downtown Disney the following day. It was great to get out of the house & not watch any tv or have internet access for almost 2 entire days.
