So, several weeks ago someone nudged me to post the books I’ve been reading here, rather than just on my weblog as I had been doing. I’m finally responding, after much confused poking around (the interface to this site leaves something to be desired).

In any case, I have read 24 books thus far, the most recent of which was Old Man’s War, by John Scalzi. It was a decent space opera, but I’m not jumping up and down excited about it.

I started a sweater for myself in April 2004. It’s not finished. I want to finish it by March 2005—so that I can wear it while it’s still chilly.

It is worth doing, but thoughtfully. Don’t expect it to be like undergrad, and don’t expect how smart you are to impress anyone. And particularly for women—talk a lot, and talk assertively.
