He was an amazing man, who always made everyone around him laugh. He did 5 days ago of a massive heart attack. It started with his mouth bleeding, he had bad teeth so my mom and I didn’t think much of it. We got him up, tested his blood sugar (he was a diabetic), and made him stay up because we were monitoring him; if he’d gotten worse we would’ve phone 911. He stayed up for 2 hours, and told be to go to bed because he knew I had a test and paper due. His last words to me were “kaylie, go to bed, you don’t need to be up”, so I did. I slept for 1 hour, when my mom woke me up and told me my dad was on the floor. I ran upstairs, and sure enough he was down on the floor of their bedroom. I knew he was gone, but I didn’t want to believe it. I tried for vital signs, nothing. The EMT’s came and worked on him for a very long time. They came out and told us he was a very sick man and had electricity in his heart but no beat. Once again I knew he was gone, but I didn’t believe it. The doctor came in and told us, after apparently a couple of hours, that he was gone. When we viewed his body I finally gaged he was gone.
I miss my dad, and still don’t fully understand he’s gone; especially because it was so quick (which I guess was a blessing in disguise)
