A closet full of memories,
If only we could pick and choose.
The odds are incredibly close,
Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose.
Although it seems that we forget,
Letting our memories fall behind.
As goes the saying of love,
Can it truly be so blind?
What are our memories to us,
But skeletons hidden away.
No matter where we go,
Somewhere they lurk at bay.
If only we could reach the light,
Somehow overcome our fear.
In finding peace with our memories,
Our skeletons would disappear!

I loved that picture of Van Gogh. It was a self-portrait of him by the description. Before I went to Washington D.C. I had always loved his art but I never knew he had made a self-portrait. It was amazing. I wish I could paint like that. I wish I had enough money to buy it and hang it up in my apartment because I would do it in a heart beat! Oh well, I can dream right lol
