buy a Refrigerator
My new used fridge 2 years ago

Bought it last December off of Craigslist. It’s an old school fridge with a butter door where the word “butter” is written in a script font. It has an Energy Saver component, and I only paid $10 extra in order to have it delivered from the owner.

If anyone would like his contact info, he’s available to pick-up/drop-off large furniture and appliances you purchase online throughout the Los Angeles area. :-)

Visit Mom in PA (read all 2 entries…)
July 2006 3 years ago

I visited my Mom in PA briefly while on vacation. We spent July 3 and 4 there together, and then we took a road trip to Indiana to visit family. I had a nice time, and I think my mother enjoyed the time off too. :-)

Purchase new contacts & glasses (read all 2 entries…)
Done and Done 3 years ago

I’ve finally bought new eyeglasses. I picked them up on Saturday. Even with vision coverage through my job, they still put a hole in my pocket. But hopefully, I won’t have to buy another pair for a long time, and if I do, I think I might just use the same frames and replace the lenses only.

Because I’m damn-near blind in one eye, I had one of the lenses condensed and both lenses got a roll and polish. However, I didn’t get the anti-glare finish because the glasses already cost me a pretty penny without it, and I plan to only wear these babies around the house. But who knows, maybe in a couple months, I’ll stop into a Wallsmart, and have them place that anti-glare finish on them after all.

Wal-Mart Eye exam for contacts and eyeglasses: $80
3-month supply of Acuvue Advance contact lenses: $50
Calvin Klein eyeglass frames and toric lenses: $175 (w/ Insurance)
The ability to see clearly: priceless
