Become a Web designer (read all 2 entries…)

I’ve recently completed one website from a PSD file to launching it in Wordpress. There’s still a lot to fix, but it was such a sense of accomplishment. I’ve never really worked with PHP before and thanks to the help of my programmer friend, he’s encouraged me to learn some PHP. Slow and steady as I go, I hope to fix the site up a bit better and move on to another site. I find actually building sites is way more informative thank simply trying to learn code on its own.

I hope to do a flash website as well to broaden my horizons.

Become a Web designer (read all 2 entries…)

First Mission Accomplished! 3 weeks ago

I’ve taken a client’s design work and spliced it up in Dreamweaver. From there I did the HTML and CSS and coded DIVs. It was certainly nerve wracking but I managed to do it. Next task, learning how to take a design from PSD to Wordpress functional.

I’ve recently learned about JOOMLA as CMS, so I’m excited to learn more about it as well.
