I’ve been using cloth pads and a mentrual cup for a few months now. I wish someone would have told me about them years ago. I use pads mostly as a backup for my DivaCup, so I’m not really too concerned about pads being ultra absorbant, and washing is really easy. I’ve never had a pad that stained.
I have about a 20 or so in different patterns, shapes, colors and sizes. There are some that I really like, about a dozen that are ok, and a few that I never use…
I think the key to this goal is finding the perfect pad for your body and style. I didn’t really like the first ones I ordered (Lunapads), and I hated the second style (Glad Rags).. but the third time for me was the charm… I found a pad that was perfect for me, and affordable too!
Of course, I’m not stopping now… I love to shop, and for me these are another awesome (but private) accesory. ;)
I just ordered a new one that looks really neat. It’s hand-stitched and the pattern is awesome. :D
For those that use just pads I would reccomend looking for a pad with a hemp core and a waterproof layer stitched in. www.perfectpads.net has some that are really great. :) They are super thin, absorbant, comfortable… and affordable! The only downside is that you can’t choose a print like you can at Lunapads. :(
