Last weekend, my boyfriend and I ventured across the state via a series of Greyhound rides, taxis, and hitchhiking experiences. We camped at the Gorge Campground, and watched as Dave city grew around us. We partied it up with our neighbors, and I witnessed the glory of the Gorge – the most beautiful venue in the world!! Dave was fantastic, breathtaking, as was Ben Harper, his opener. I have never witnessed such an epic concert. The Harper-Matthews duo cover of Watchtower was completely mind blowing. It was totally worth the $$$ it costs for camping fees!

How I did it: Josh and I took a Greyhound bus from Bellingham to the city of Moses Lake, which is about a half-hour drive from the Gorge. The bus cost around $80 per person. When we arrived in Moses Lake, we attempted to hitchhike to the Gorge campground. Sadly, no one picked us up, though we received many cat calls and piece signs. As we learned, there was no room in any of the cars going to the campground, as everybody was carrying gear. Three hours … Read how I did it…
How I did it: In September of 2008, my friend Max and I bought Burning Man tickets after a random hint of inspiration. We are both proud, nature loving hippies, hailing from the flower-child community of Vashon Island, Washington. We bought our tickets the same week that they became available, and found something called a "Theme Camp" who was searching for members on Craigslist. My camp, Poisoned Palace, runs a karaoke bar at Burn, and we spent all yea… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Now, I save my shopping basket, and delete everything I could seriously live without. After a couple weeks (or months), the only things in my cart are things that I really, really want. You get the thrill of shopping, yet more money in your wallet, and items you actually want and need! Read how I did it…

I’ve wanted this forever, a six inch replication of Dali’s elephant on my right shoulderblade. I’ve yet to find the right parlor, but once I do, at the right time, I’ll get that muthafucka.
I love writing about my life – I think it is a great habit that will be great to look back on in the future. I wouldn’t remember the majority of my teenage years without the assistance of my journals. :)
