While it is true that “if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere,” New York is not all the glam it may seem. It’s small apartments, high rent, and lots of people all the time (and even more roaches).
That said, I still live here – But even I can admit there are probably better cities to live in…outside of the US (Come on, you can’t do better than NY when in the United States)

Yes, learn to play rugby. Especially if you are an American and have no idea what a “gentleman’s sport” is all about, do it.
I played for 4 years and am about to start playing again. I can’t wait.

Yes, I learned a lot. Yes, the knowledge has proved valuable. But there were also ridiculous things: People who didn’t take the learning aspect seriously, the cost, the bureaucracy, etc.
If I could do it all over, I would take at least a year off after high school and take more time to nail down what I wanted to do (and explore the world a bit more before I decided).
