Read The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
Read "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath 4 weeks ago

I had heard of Sylvia Plath before, but her name didn’t ring a bell until my professor at CIA, Dr. Danko, mentioned it. So I put down “The Bell Jar” in my mind and on my reading list. One year later, after transferring to a new school, it was required for English class. I had always wondered what the book was about and why it was called “The Bell Jar”. I imagined a large tinkilng, yet booming gong sound when I thought of the title. It took me 4 days, but I read the book and it was excellent! The character slightly reminded me of myself and it seemed that her society was crazy, not her. Now I understand why it was worth reading. Thank you, library and English class syllabus.

send flowers for no reason/give them
Send or Give Flowers for No Reason 4 weeks ago

The first time completed this goal, was giving thank you flowers to my two friends for their monetary gift. I tried to give my other friend flowers, but she was not at her job. So I gave them to another librarian who was fairly surprised. But the climax of my goal occurred at a beauty college. I had gotten free flowers from Connections to Success and I knew the flowers would die in my care ANYWAYS. So I passed them out to about 20 or 30 random strangers. It was so wonderful, seeing the smiles on people’s faces. It really changes a person’s day when you randomly give them flowers…
